Unveiled alongside the GWX during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/monterey-car-week\/\">Monterey Car Week<\/a> is the new Project F-26. It might just be the most outlandish <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/porsche-911\/\">911-based<\/a> restomod on the planet and will be much more common than the GWX. It&rsquo;s also been built to mimic the aerodynamic shape of a fighter jet, and as such, is about as far removed from a Singer 911 as you can get. However, for buyers who want those classic 911 looks, but with modern hypercar performance, the F-26 might be just about perfect.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2025\/08\/youre-not-allowed-to-buy-this-911-unless-gunther-werks-invites-you\/\">You&rsquo;re Not Allowed To Buy This 911 Unless Gunther Werks Invites You<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The beating heart of the car is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged air-cooled flat-six co-developed with Rothsport Racing and delivering an incredible 1,000 hp and 750 lb-ft (1,017 Nm) of torque. This engine includes a race-derived flat fan that&rsquo;s said to provide more than double the cooling of a typical vertical fan. To put the power to the ground, the F-26 has massive 295\/30 front and 335\/30 rear Continental ExtremeContact Force tires. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2024\/08\/gunther-werks-gwr-porsche-911-restomod-has-a-500-hp-n-a-flat-six-that-revs-to-9000-rpm\/\">Gunther<\/a> has also added a new double-wishbone suspension to the front, adaptive JRZ dampers, an advanced traction control system and extended the wheelbase by 30 mm.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2023\/12\/custom-porsche-993-speedster-from-gunther-werks-will-leave-you-blue-with-envy\/\">Visually<\/a>, the F-26 rocks a bespoke front fascia with unique headlights and turn signals, as well as a grille similar in shape to the current <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2024\/10\/2025-porsche-gt3-gt3-touring\/\">911 GT3<\/a>. The wheel arches have been widened to accommodate the massive new shoes, while the rear end now rocks a bespoke LED light bar, a massive rear wing, and a custom diffuser. Most of the new parts are made from carbon fiber, resulting in the car tipping the scales at just 2,700 lbs (1,224 kg).<\/p>\n<p>Much like the exterior, the cabin is entirely bespoke.
