We&rsquo;ve reported on everything from<a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2025\/01\/this-weird-928-cabriolet-doesnt-even-look-like-a-porsche-anymore\/\"> heavily modified drop tops<\/a> to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2020\/05\/miniaturized-two-door-mazda-protege-is-real-and-for-sale-in-the-states\/\"> hacked-up everyday cars<\/a>. Body swaps get their own category in the fray, and while some are extremely refined, others are a bit more obvious. In reality, the proportions have most viewers wondering how the project ever got this far. The 911 is three full inches wider than the Mustang and has a wheelbase that is 15.5 inches shorter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stretching the Shape<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article-thumbnails-organic\"><\/div>\n<p>To make the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/engine-swaps\/\">two cars fit<\/a> together, the builder had to push the front wheel arches dramatically rearward, leaving the coupe with a comically long front overhang; think Borzoi-level snoot. This pony car looks like it&rsquo;s reaching out for a sugar cube. The awkward proportions don&rsquo;t stop there, though.<\/p>\n<p>This is a 911 under the sheet metal, so the fuel filler cap needs to fit on the front fender. That piece is odd to begin with, and the filler just so happens to need to be where the arch already is. The fenders at each corner have huge flares to encompass the much wider Porsche frame and track. It&rsquo;s unclear how the builder fabricated the cooling system, but it would be fascinating to discover.<\/p>\n<section class=\"type:slideshow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy \" data-src=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" alt=\"\" src=\"\" data-type=\"inarticle-image\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy \" data-src=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" alt=\"\" src=\"\" data-type=\"inarticle-image\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy \" data-src=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" alt=\"\" src=\"\" data-type=\"inarticle-image\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy \" data-src=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" alt=\"\" src=\"\" data-type=\"inarticle-image\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy \" data-src=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" alt=\"\" src=\"\" data-type=\"inarticle-image\" \/><\/section>\n<p><strong>Porsche Where It Counts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Not every bit of this build seems like a poorly executed idea. The interior, for one, looks great. It&rsquo;s almost completely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/porsche\/\">Porsche<\/a>, so that&rsquo;s a big plus. The chassis only has 53,000 miles (85,295 kilometers) on it and the stock engine makes around 380 horsepower that are sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.<\/p>\n<p>The seller does point out that the &ldquo;interior\/frunk needs finish work,&rdquo; but the biggest stuff is all done here. Is this a good purchase?
