Mindfulness has been shown to be very helpful in reducing anxiety, improving focus and memory, and a host of other benefits. This simple mindfulness exercise can be completed in less than 5 minutes, and should be practiced a couple times a day, when you are calm. Then when you are struggling, your body will remember what the calm feels like, and when you focus on your breathing or your back, you will trigger that memory and help your physical self calm down. The more you practice, the easier it gets!
